PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE

Curriculum Assistant I (MSU College of Human Medicine, Flint Campus), 2017 Present
Provide support to the Public Health and Leadership in Medicine for the Underserved Certificate Directors;
supports implementation of the certificate program including maintaining educational materials and
compiling information to produce required reports; assist with developing policies and procedures for the
certificate program; initiate and process travel authorizations and reimbursements; assist with budget
development and monitor accounts for the certificate program; assist with recruiting students and
maintaining student records; support the curricular needs of the certificate program including design,
update, and maintain Desire2Learn system for program community and courses; helps organize
community projects for students; assist in organizing social and educational events for program students,
and assist in maintaining an active program presence on selected social media sites.
Secretary II (MSU Neuroscience Program), 2012 2017
Provide undergraduate administrative support to the Undergraduate Program Director, Dr. Laura
Symonds, during the launch of MSUs new undergraduate major in Neuroscience; research answers to
administrator and student questions; communicate policy and procedure information to students; provide
overrides and enrollments into NEU courses; advise students regarding course planning and scheduling.
Key Results:
Review student requests for overrides, verify pre-requisites by accessing student ESAF records,
communicate override request determination (e.g. denied, approved, under review, etc.), provide
necessary overrides, and enroll students in NEU core courses.

Completed Career Development Facilitator Training via the National Career Development Association.
Brainstorm and create informational materials for PhD students looking for work outside of academia.
Complete ongoing education and training in all areas of human resource management and higher
