Order change management (OCM):
In the "traditional" order processing, there are statuses with business functions
(e.g. if an order has already been confirmed, it is not allowed any more to reread
master data). That means, that the changes in the order are only allowed as long
as production did not start. This function is for making sure, that the data is not
changed within the process. This causes the problem in some productions
(engineer-to-order, make-to-order, production with long retention period -
generally years).
OCM thus helps in understanding the data and altering the production and
requirement changes. It makes a flexible organisation.

Logic of the OCM process

OCM makes possible to change data while processing, because sometimes it is

needed to change an already started production order (this means, that after
confirmation the order can be changed)
between the start of production and the delivery date normally changes are not
allowed, OCM was developed to make these changes possible (so
called engineering changes)
OCM allows changes under restriction
uncritical change e.g. a released order which has not been confirmed
Normally OCM works with a sales order and a configuration

5S Principle:

Seiri Sort

Seiton Set In Order

Seiso - Shine

Seiketsu Standardize
Shitsuke Sustain

5S involves assessing everything present in a space, removing what's

unnecessary, organizing things logically, performing housekeeping tasks,
and keeping this cycle going. Organize, clean, repeat.

Sort - The first step of 5S, Sort, involves going through all the tools, furniture,
materials, equipment, etc. in a work area to determine what needs to be present
and what can be removed.

Set In Order - Once the extra clutter is gone, it's easier to see what's what. Now
work groups can come up with their own strategies for sorting through the
remaining items.

Shine - Everyone thinks they know what housekeeping is, but it's one of the
easiest things to overlook, especially when work gets busy. The Shine stage of 5S
focuses on cleaning up the work area, which means sweeping, mopping, dusting,
wiping down surfaces, putting tools and materials away, etc.

Standardize - Depends on the 5S work schedule is made and checklist are released
for standardization

Sustain - Once standard procedures for 5S are in place, businesses must perform
the ongoing work of maintaining those procedures and updating them as
necessary.

Pareto Of Loses

A Pareto is a bar graph in which the organisational losses are arranged in the order
increasing or decreasing order to find the problem to attack at first from the major
to minor loses.

The Pareto chart provides a graphic depiction of the Pareto principle, a theory
maintaining that 80% of the output in a given situation or system is produced by
20% of the input.
Records Maintaining in DSS

Log Book Shift wise details are recorded

Hourly Monitoring Each Hour regarding Productions data are recorded at each
loop

Oven temperature monitoring - For every 1 hr the monitoring and recording of

the readings are done

Setup Sheet / Change Over sheet These sheets are filled to confirm the changes
done for the required change over at the stations and are verified

Silver Glue Tracking sheet/ Capacitor Batch tracking These are done at loop 2

Data Capturing Sheet In loop to rejections types are monitored at this sheet by
mentioning the tray which is being used

Tray motoring Sheet This sheet is used to monitor the production number and
the tray number at the end of Loop 2

Andon Monitoring Whenever breakdown happens / Quality Issue / Safety issue

arises Andon monitoring is noted down for future verification of production detail
and line stop details

Electrode Grinding Details The details regarding the electrode which is send
for grinding are stored
