Biography of Song Ji Hyo (Korean Actress)

Have you ever dreamed of becoming a successful and famous actor, while gaining international
fame? Song Ji hyo fulfilled that dream, and had starred in many famous korean movies and
dramas.

Song Ji Hyo (Real name Cheon Seong Im), was born in Pohang, South Korea, on 15 August 1981.
She has a younger brother and a younger sister. She was especially interested in acting and
dreamed of being an actress during her high school years after watching Park Shin-yang in the
1998 South Korean film, Promise. She graduated with a tax and accounting degree from Kyung
Moon University (now Kookje College). It was a great start.

Before Song Ji Hyos debut as an actress, she was a model for Kiki Magazine. Song Ji Hyo made her
feature film acting debut in the 2003 Korean horror film Wishing Stairs, starring as a young
student who studied ballet.

In 2006, she played the role of Lady Ye So-ya, the first wife of Jumong and the mother of King
Yuri in the historical drama Jumong. The series was a huge hit, receiving the highest viewer
ratings of all the Korean dramas that aired in 2006. Song was nominated for Best New Actress
in the TV category at the 43th Baeksang Arts Awards.

In 2010, Song Ji Hyo joined the Korean variety show Running Man after being a guest in the
show for the second to fifth episode. Ji Hyo gained international fame for being the only female
member of the show, which made her popularity rise across Asia.
