Room Parent Nominations
Every year we ask that each
room nominate a room parent
that will help with school
functions throughout the
year. The room parent’s
responsibility is as follow:
A room parent will be
responsible for organizing
food for parent meetings,
presenting ideas to parents at
the parent meetings, and or-
ganizing an email list and
phone list for classroom
contact purposes, that will be
distributed to each family. A
room parent is like a cheer-
leader for the room. An ideal
room parent is someone who is
excited about school functions,
their child’s classroom, and
making contact with other par-
ents; by providing a sense of
community to their room. A
room parent works closely with
the teachers of the classroom
they represent and is a team
player. A room parent will also
be asked to be a part of plan-
ning committee for school-wide
events/ functions, by the direc-
tor, throughout the year.

School Upgrades
In the month
of August,
while we are
closed, we
will be working on having
our kitchen remodeled so
we are able to provide a hot
lunch program for the chil-
dren in our care. In the
months to follow we will
have surveillance cameras
installed at our front doors,
the playgrounds, alley, and
our up and down stairs
hallways so we are able to
ensure that our children
are safe at all times and we
are more aware of our out-
side perimeters. We are
able to provide this type of
security at our preschool by
your generous donations
from our Annual Giving
Fund (AGF). Our AGF
provides every family the
opportunity to make our
program as wonderful as it
could be now and for years
to come by giving mone-
tary gifts in order to im-
prove our program. Our
annual giving fund begins
this September. Please
keep your eyes and ears
open for more information.
