The John Bremseth Family

John Bremseth, Born: June 2, 1878, Died: May 30, 1965

Married to Bertha Anderson

John Bremseth was born in Norway to Arndt and Beret Bremseth. As a young man he went west to North Dakota and
homesteaded in Newberg, North Dakota in Botteneau County. On July 18, 1905 he homesteaded on the southwest
quarter of Section 11 - Range 80.

John married Bertha Anderson, as sister of Ingeborg Anderson, who married his brother Sam. They were married
sometime between 1906 and 1910. Bertha was a Norwegian girl from Voss, Norway. They had a son who died shortly
after birth and Bertha passed away a few days later. They were both buried together in those early years. The exact
date is not known.

John continued farming and on January 9, 1913, he bought the southeast quarter of Section 11 - Range 80. On May 17,
1918, he left this homestead and traveled with a threshing crew from south to north.

John occasionally visited relatives through the years. He died while living in Phoenix, Arizona and is buried there.
