Week 3 Reflection
Week 3 Reflection
Teresa E. Sampson
The most significant thing that I learned this week was about writing user stories.
According to Saddington (2013), the user stories are written with a specific feature in mind.
They tell an exact representation of what is expected and what will be accomplished by
How did what I learned change my thinking about this weeks topic?
When I first began reading about writing a user story, the process seemed much more
complicated than it what it actually is. When I saw an example of one in the textbook and the
details for the structure, I discovered that the user story is very simple, but includes important
I view the user story as a goal of sorts for that particular task. I am part of the balanced
scorecard committee at work and we go through a similar process when working on the
development of the balanced scorecard, although it has a different format than the user story as
How will I use (or have I used) this knowledge in my ministry or life?
The user stories are very simple and give implicit direction for a team to get the job done.
I think it would be very helpful to incorporate user stories into our projects at work. This will

as planning the annual meeting for our cooperative. I could also use this process to design,
I would like to learn about different applications of user stories in the workplace as well
something new into my work when I can see several different examples and then be able to
visualize how I can incorporate it in various ways. This process will break larger tasks down
into smaller units so that the project is not as overwhelming and progress is not halted.
