What is a call sheet?

A call sheet is sheet filled in with information to help ensure that filming
equipment is collected and used responsibly.
Usually, the director or cinematographer will fill the sheet in with the
equipment they plan to use; how much of each equipment they need; when
the equipment will be taken out; when the equipment will be brought back;
and some personal information including the responsible persons email
address and house address.
This ensures that if any equipment is not brought back on time, there will be
someone held responsible and someone to contact.
A call sheet is also used to ensure that everyone in the production team knows
when and where they are filming in case there are any confusions.
All details filled out on the sheet should be correct, otherwise it could cause
complications. For example, if the pickup date for the equipment is recorded
wrong it could lead to the production group not filing which wastes time.
