Heading for the year 2070

Introduction
This report aims at presenting the current technological progress in Romania and how it could
advance in the future. This paper focuses on three activity fields in which technology plays an
important role that also represent part of our daily life: work, travel and home activities.
Technology in the workplace
Daily activities in Romania have radically changed due to the spread of computers, which are now
used in almost every domain of activity, because they are essential for dealing with large amount
of data that is common in every domain in our country. The future will imply more use of
computers at work, not only in order to avoid human errors, but also to ensure the connectivity
between the members of a working team or to make teleworking a good way of using time
efficiently.
Travelling at high speed
A condition to do all our desired activities is to reduce the time spent travelling to different
locations and this can be done by developing new vehicles that can reach high speed. This type of
vehicles is not used now in Romania, but is to be implemented in the future to facilitate the
travelling between different corners of the country. Another way of reducing travelling time is to
improve the infrastructure, which is in progress in Romania and will have high results in the future.
Interactive home
In Romania modern devices started being used in many home activities, for example interactive
TVs, cleaning or grass-cutting robots. In the next years homes will be fully remotely controllable,
unifying all the smart devices from our houses in a single network.
Conclusion
There are many domains in which technology became very important, but this is just the beginning
of the process of the technological development in our country.
