Every effort has been made to simplify identification of replacement parts so that errors in shipment can be avoided. It is important that the customer fully understand the instructions given under "USE OF THIS CATALOG" and "HOW TO ORDER PARTS" to further insure against delays due to errors or incomplete information, PROPER IDENTIFICATION WHEN ORDERING PARTS WILL EXPEDITE ‘SHIPMENT. USE OF THIS CATALOG Illustrations show each major assembly (or group of related parts) broken down or “exploded” into component parts. Each part is referenced by an index number which is a cross-reference between the illustration and the parts list and must NOT be considered as a part number. An explanation of the various columns in the parts list follows : Figure & Index No. Column - The number preceeding the hyphen indicates the number of the figure in Which the part is illustrated, while the number following the hyphen is the index number of the part in that figure. Blank spaces preceeding the hyphen must be presumed to carry the same figure number that appears at the top of the given sequence in the listing. Part Number Column - This column lists the part number for the particular part of assembly. This number must be plainly shown on all orders for such parts. Description Column - The name of the part or assembly is given in this column. Component parts which make up anassembly are shown indented under the name of that assembly. In many cases, a complete description of commercial items, such as screws, bolts, washers, pipe nipples, etc., is given 7o enable procurement of these parts from local hardware sources. Units Per Assy Column - This column lists the number of parts required for a single assembly, regardless of the number of such assemblies used in the equipment. The abbreviation "Ref" is placed in this column when an assembly is listed for reference only and is illustrated as a complete assembly elsewhere in the catalog. It therefore cannot be over-emphasized that all orders have to state the COMPLETE PART NUMBER AND DESCRIPTION together with the MODEL AND SERIAL NUMBER of the exhaust gas boiler which appears on the serial plate located on the side of the exhaust gas boiler sections. This serial number can also be found on the cover page of this parts catalog.
