or future generation. You could choose some items that represent the
current time, personal treasure that are important for you, or both.

describe the objets and say why they are important.

I sometimes think my life is simple. So simple that it probably

wouldn't appeal to anyone else, especially in the future.

I am sure in 500 years life will be much more complicated due to

government issues, lifestyle changed, and life in general.

If I were to put things in this time capsule, I really would have to

think what I put in there. I would have to evaluate whether the items
I included were importan to me personally, or items that reflect my
lifestyle.

First off, I would include my guitar pick. I have completely

customized it myself. I would include this because it is unlike any
other guitar pick.

Now people in the future can see the catalyst in my wonderous

guitar playing. Although it seems like that of an inanimate object, it
symbolizes something about me.

It symbolizes my need to customize things in order for me to feel like

they are my own.

Also, I would include things like, certain cd's that meant a lot to
me. Bands like Nirvana, Iron Maiden, guns n roses etc.

This way, these bands could live on forever. Be compared to bands

500 years from now, this music might seem very different.

I would also include a few of my clothes, like shirts, pants and my

boots.
Clothes in the future might be completely foreign to us. So my
clothes might be foreign to people 500 years from now.

Finally, I would include a family picture.

In current times, a family picture symbolizes moral values,

continuity, a legacy if you will of the past the present and the future.

In the future, families might keep their family values differently, a

different structure. So, in 500 years they will know what family
values meant to us.
