5.01.1.

MANAGEMENT COMMITMENT

XYZ Engineering and Construction, Management is engaged in the development and


implementation of a Quality Management System and in the continuous improvement of its
effectiveness as follows:

a) The members of XYZ are informed regarding the importance of satisfying Clients
requirements and fulfillment of legal requirements and regulations.
b) Quality Policy is stated and divulged
c) Quality Objective are stated and divulged
d) Revisions by the Direction of the Quality Management System are performed and divulged
e) The availability of resources to comply with the requirements of the Quality Management
System is ensured.

5.01.2 FOCUS ON THE CLIENT

XYZs Management ensures that Clients requirements have been defined and that are known
to the organizations and people related to their fulfillment, with the purpose of attaining
Clients satisfaction.

5.01.3 QUALITY POLICY

XYZs Vice President states the Quality Policy, which is periodically revised and adapted to
XYZs objectives. This Quality Policy is made known and explained to the members of the
Organization and to Suppliers and Clients for a better understanding of the Quality Objectives
established in it.

5.01.4 PLANNING

5.01.4.1 Quality Objectives

Since there is a diversity of services and products offered by XYZ, Quality Objectives for
those services and products can be adapted or modified taking into account guidelines
stated in the Quality Policy of XYZ as established by the Direction for specific projects.

5.01.4.2 Planning of the Quality Management System

XYZs Management states that Planning of the Quality Management System is performed
for:

a) Attaining defined Quality Objectives, including those necessary to satisfy the


requirements of Products and Services agreed upon with Clients.
b) That the integrity of the Quality Management System must be upkept even when changes to
it are foreseen.

5.01.5 RESPONSIBILITY, AUTHORITY AND COMMUNICATION

5.01.5.1 Responsibility and Authority

Functions and Responsibilities of XYZs personnel are established, formalized and divulged to
all its members.

5.01.5.2 Management Representative

XYZs Vice President appoints the Quality Manager as his representative for the Administration
of the Quality Management System and his function and responsibilities including the following
ones:

a) Ensure that the processes for the Administration of XYZ Quality Management System are
adequately stated, implemented and maintained.

b) Submit periodic reports to the Vice President informing about the performance of the
Quality Management System and the need to improve it.

c) Ensure the knowledge and understanding of Clients requirements in all areas and personnel
of the Organization.

d) Act as representative of the Direction and as a link among Clients and third parties to deal
with subjects related to Quality Management System.

5.01.5.3 Internal Communications

The Management of XYZ, Engineering and Construction, ensures that the adequate
communication process has been established with all organizations and members of XYZ to
divulge subjects related with the Quality Management System.

5.01.6 MANAGEMENT REVISION

5.01.6.1 General

The Management of XYZ, Engineering and Constructions, revises the Quality Management
System to ensure its fulfillment, adequacy and effectiveness, by following a periodic evaluation
plan. This Management revision includes the search and evaluation of improvement areas and
the need for changes to the Quality Management System including Quality Policy and Quality
Objectives.
Management revisions are performed on writing and the evidence is conveniently kept,
compiled and filed for its recovery every time this document is necessary.

5.01.6.2 Data for Management Revision

The information on which the Direction bases its revision is the following:

a) Audit results,
b) Feedback from Clients,
c) Process performance and conformity of provided products and services,
d) Status of preventive and corrective actions,
e) Follow-up of actions agreed upon in previous revisions by the Management,
f) Proposed or foreseen changes to the process or organizations and how could they affect
the Quality Management System,
g) Recommendations and proposals to improve continuously the Quality Management
System.

5.01.6.3 Conclusions and Guidelines after Management Revision

Management revision shall reach conclusions and actions related to:

a) Effectiveness improvement of the Quality Management System and XYZ processes,


b) Improvement of products and services bearing in mind Clients requirements,
c) Need for resources.
