A Course purpose was to give basic knowledge about welding.

Therefore, the course was too

short but I had enough opportunity to take crucial information by my teacher about safety
during the welding, types of welding and their advantages or disadvantages as well. In short, I
got information that absolutely will help me in the future. Its important to note that especially
for me the first day in the workshop was very wondering before the starting class because I have
never studied and worked there with welding equipments subsequently night before the class I
was thinking what I will do and I had a lot of questions about that because welding is beautiful
and very hard job. After that, in the first lesson, we talked about course description and grading,
in one word with course syllabus. Then we continue our lesson with vital topic about safety
orientation while welding and types of welding also components.

Concerning safety, I learned how to provide first aid if person has had electrical power.It's very
important that during the safety lesson I got very important information that the heart of
person is located in the centre of chest. Also, the brightness of the arc can be brighter 8-100
times than brightness of the sun. To add to it, the arc zone temperature is reached to 5000
and spark of the arc to 800 C. While performing welding job likely can be next dangerous for life
and health:

1) Electric shock, 2) lesion the arc rays and ultraviolet, 3) bruises and cuts, 4) burns
from molten metal splashes, 5) gas poisoning, 6) explosion when working with
vessels under pressure, 7) Fires.

With helping this course I figured out that depending on the magnitude of the electric current
can be next injuries : at current 0.6-1.5 mA weak hand shake , at current 8-10 mA convulsion or
strong pain in the fingers, at current 20-25 mA paralysis and difficulty breathing , at current 90-
100 mA when impact the current around 3 second it leads to paralysis of heart. Moreover, we
went to the next class in order to see real welding and its components. There were four semi-
automatic weldings ,two argon welding and electric arc welding as well. Argon welding is one of
the most dangerous welding. For example , If welder works around five years with argon
welding it leads to different types of sickness especially inside body. Except this dangerous
there some hazards while cooking welding splashes. For example, splashes can fly at around and
if its touch to plastic or things that can burn easily there can be fire. Furthermore, I knew that
in the welding production uses four spatial positions such as bottom, vertical, horizontal,
overhead. Also, there are five main connections. For instance, butt, angular, tee joint, ring.
After that, we went to the next room that contains safety equipment such as helmet, heat
resistant jacket, ear plugs, and rubber-soled safety shoes. Then, I was introduced with purposes
these equipments by my teacher. For example, welding helmet protects from hot slag and
sparks from arc also even when wearing a helmet, you must wear safety glasses with side
shields, or goggles, should always be worn to protect your eyes from flying particles. As for
shoes, metatarsal guards over the shoe laces can protect them from falling objects and sparks.
Next days class was very wonderful because I did welding. Before starting welding, teacher
explained how to do welding also right, easy ways. It requires more carefulness or accuracy
while you cooking. Also, there is one thing to mention electrode should be at 45 degree. I did
welding three times approximately about 2 hours. First time, my arc constantly has stuck to the
base metal. In the second time, I did without any sticking but it was not beautiful. And, last time
I did cooking from bottom to the up. In that time, I had opportunity to see how is my arc doing
its job and It was a little bit better than previous times. To sum up my mind, I loved welding job
in despite of dangerous sides.
