POPULATION OF THE EARTH

This report will look at a graph that depicts number of people living
worldwide since 1700 to 2048 in billions. The graph shows that the world
population increased from 1 billion in 1800 to 12 billion in 2012. Population
increase is measured in billions per years.

It is clear from the data that since 1960 world population has an important
grown than the previous years. The world population reached 1 billion
around 1804, 2 billion in 1927, 3 billion in 1960, 4 billion in 1974, 5 billion in
1987, 6 billion in 1999 and finally 7 billion recently. The latest projection
made by United Nations imply that world population is projected to grow
to 9 billion by 2042.
