MLA Formatting

MLA stands for Modern Language Association formatting. The MLA format was

established so that students and teachers can have a standard for writing, reading, and grading

papers across the board. According to the MLA, the MLA style has been widely adopted for

classroom instruction and used worldwide by scholars, journal publishers, and academic and

commercial presses. Having a standard written format allows readers to focus on the subject

material of a paper rather than having to worry about its structure or layout.

In MLA format, every line is double-spaced and is left-justified to ensure consistency,

and there should be no extra spaces between paragraphs. An MLA formatted paper should

include a header, heading, and a title. Finally, one inch margins are used all around the edges to

center the content on the page.

by typing 6 sentences using adjectives to describe a noun on their tablet. 2 sentences
for each of the 3 types of adjective covered in the lesson are required. (15 minutes)
o The last piece of the lesson will be used for students to read 2 of their sample
