Sub: Report on ATV CLUB started on Saturday 29 July 2017.
The AUTOMOBILE ENGINEERING DEPARTMENT has started ATV CLUB as club activity.
The objectives of ATV CLUB are as under.

To contribute to active learning process from the club activities.


To promote interdisciplinary activities for technical advancements of vehicle.
To contribute to the design and development of the ATV.
To create elite team every year for ATV Competitions.

On Saturday 29 July 2017 ATV CLUB was started under the guidance of following faculty
members of the department: (1) Mr. Noel Martin Mecwan (2) Mr. Himanshu Patel (3) Mr. Sagar
Bhamre. There were 12 students present on that day. Following activities were done:

Introduction of ATV.
Explanation of various system of ATV like Engine, Power transmission, Suspension,
Steering, Braking, etc.
Explanation of requirements of such systems for ATV.
On board demonstration of various systems of ATV listed above on the previously built
ATV.
Definition and demonstration of various terms used in ATV specifications like Rollcage,
Wheel base, Wheel track, Ground clearance, Stopping distance.
Definition and demonstration of various terms in Engine, Brake, Suspension, Steering on
ATV.
Doubts of students participated in club were cleared with ATV.

Following activities are planned for next Saturday club activity:

Explanation of rule book of BAJA 2018 event.


Explanation on real components regarding design considerations.

Note: Mr. Noel Mecwan was present for activity and Mr. Himanshu Patel and Mr. Sagar Bhamre
were absent due to Dr. Vikram Sarabhai Memorial Lecture series.
