In the paper points out the close connection of philosophy and theology. Also stressed that
this close relationship is analyzed by Aristotle in his work "Metaphysics". Also noted that the
apostle Paul uses the philosophy of his time and combines it with the theology.
Then analyzed how philosopher J. Taubes examines and interprets the Paul s Epistle to the
Romans. The philosopher stresses the political nature of the Letter. He also stresses that Paul
describes the establishment of the new people of God. This people has nothing to do with
nationalist notions. Instead the new people of God proclaims practical love towards all and
struggling to implement it.
