Night Sky on Paper

Supplies
White, medium weight paper
Crayons in assorted colorsbright or fluorescent colors work the best
Newspaper
Black or dark blue watercolor
Large brush

Directions
Share a few famous nightscape paintings with your child so that she knows how
stars, moon, clouds, and other celestial objects are represented on paper.
Encourage your child to draw her favorite sky-scape using crayons. Have her use as
many bright colors as he can.
Spread the old newspaper on the floor and have your child brush through the
nightscape with black poster paint.
Allow the paint to dry.
You will soon notice the painting intact with just a shade of black over it making it
look like the night sky that she can see from her room!
