MANAGING STRESS IN THE WORK PLACE

Stress in the work place can be relieved by the help of two strategies: INDIVIDUAL
COPING STRATEGIES (exercise, relaxation, time management, role management
and support groups) and ORGANIZATIONAL STRATEGIES which is divided into
two, Institutional Programs (work design, work schedule, culture and supervision)
and Collateral Programs (stress management programs, health promotion
programs, sabbaticals and other programs)

INDIVIDUAL COPING STRATEGIES


EXERCISE people who exercise regularly will feel less tension and stress
and are more confident and show greater optimism. While on the other
hand, those people who do not exercise regularly will feel the opposite.
