Neil Armstrong walked on the moon in 1969.


The Soviet Union sent an unmanned spacecraft to Venus in 1966.
Four rovers have successfully landed on Mars.
Space Shuttle Columbia was launched on 12 April 1981.
China launched the Tiangong-1 space station in 2011.

Activity 2

Scientists have discovered a new planet that is similar to Earth. Now they want to explore
it.
Scientists can stay in the space station for up to six months and do research.

Rover: wheeled vehicle used to travel over and study the surface of the moon or a planet

A hum - There's a problem with my TV. It's making a loud hum.

A rumble - We saw the lightning, then we heard the rumble of thunder in the distance.

We are more interested in the receiver than the agent
The agent is not important, not known, or it's obvious
