A: Today's guests are Michelle McLean and Frankie Fredericks, two people
that are not only known in your country, If not also worldwide. Frankie has left
the name of their Namibia country high, because of his achievements as an
athlete and Michelle for winning Miss Universe in 1992.
J:
A: Let's talk a little about your country of origin, which is Namibia which has an
interesting history and cultural environment, with 1.82 million inhabitants is
the second least populated country in the world. If any of us visit Namibia,
what place would you recommend Michelle to us?
L: This desert is the oldest in the world. If any of you have the opportunity to
go to our country, You must know the highest reddish dunes on the planet.
These can be as tall as a 60-story building.
J:
A: And you Frankie, what food in your country do you recommend?
J:
J:
L: It's the best thing that's ever happened to me. I was 19 <years old> when I
represented my beautiful country: Namibia. I became the first and only woman
to win the crown in representation of this country. And it is pertinent to point
out that I was the second woman to represent Namibia as an independent
country.
L: Im not really that good for sports. // <I really am not that good for sports>
But here we have someone excellent for sports, Mr. Frankie.
Yo realmente no soy tan buena para los deportes. Pero aqu si tenemos a
alguien excelente para los deportes, el seor Frankie.
J:
A: Tell us Michelle
L: I am currently living in Johannesburg, South Africa. I am writing a book about
life in the media and memories of my travels. I am Director of one of the main
Real Estate Agencies of the country and I am also in charge of my foundation:
Michelle McLean children, trust in Namibia.
J:
A: Thank you very much for coming here and granting me this interview, it
was a pleasure and I hope to see you soon.
