CT STUDY OF HEAD PLAIN & CONTRAST

Infratentorial

Cerebellopontine angle and prepontine cisterns are seen normally.

Fourth ventricle is normal in size and midline in location.

Cerebellar parenchyma and brain stem appears to be normal.

Supratentorial

Hypodense areas are seen in bilateral frontal and anterior parietal


white matter .No contrast enhancement is seen .

Basal cisterns are seen normally.

Third and both lateral ventricles are seen normally.

No midline shift is seen.

OPINION:

BILATERAL FRONTO-PARIETAL WHITE MATTER HYPODENSITIES MOST LIKELY


DEMYELINATING DISEASE.

ADVISED M.R.I.

Clinical correlation is necessary.
