My name is Sawsan Raslan, an ambitious and hardworking graduate. I recently
graduated from two universities, finance and environmental science major, very different majors but I saw myself in both studies. I like finance and dealing with numbers but I am very passionate about ones social responsibilities that is why I had to study and learn more about the environment and thats also why I always apply and prefer to work with an organization that cares about its social responsibility and willing to make a change in the world around it. My biggest project was working with UN women Washington and 4GGL on a survey and a research called what Syrian women want so we can help spread Syrian womens voices and let them be heard, later on Huffpost posted two different articles about this research. My social responsibility does not stop here; I did various work as well like working in refugee schools and organizing events in my university from a Tedx event to making a fun day for SOS orphanage in our campus. On the other hand, I also did not neglect the academic and professional side, I did internships in well know companies like Ernst and young, shell and Syria international Islamic bank, which gave me a lot of experience on the professional level that I needed in my finance career. The life changing experience was doing an internship in Caux Montreaux, Switzerland in IofC (initiative of change). It was a peace and leadership internship, which made me step out of my bubble and open my mind to new ways of thinking and specially meeting and working with people from all over the world with different cultures and backgrounds. Its not whether I have enough experience or not for this position that matters because I am a fast learner and a hard worker, but I work with integrity and faithfulness and thats something a person with 10 years of experience may not have.
