Apparatus for measure the charge to mass ratio of the electron
This apparatus consists of a vacuum tube, Helmholtz coils, two multimeters, two power supplies, and some connecting cables. The vacuum
tube is spherical and its interior is hollow. The tube is made of glass. The tube is situated between an internal scale and an electron gun. The
Helmholtz coils is circle in shape and its color is nearly orange. The Helmholtz coils are attached to metals on the lower and the middle part.
Then the vacuum tube is placed on the middle of Helmholtz coils and its supported by the metals. There are power supplies on either side of
the Helmholtz coils, one is for the Helmholtz coils on the left and the other is for the electron gun on the right. The power supply is cube in
shape. The power supply for the Helmholtz coils has two knob controls and for the electron gun has three knob controls. And there are
multimeters also on the either side of the Helmholtz coils. One is placed on the most right of the apparatus. It sets for measure the voltage.
And the other is placed between the Helmholtz coils and the power supply for the Helmholtz coils. It sets for measure the current. The
multimeter is rectangular prism and its color is grey. It has a digital monitor to help us see the measurement.
There are 11 connecting cables with different colors. Three cables are blue, five cables are red, and three cables are yellow. One blue cable
leads from the Helmholtz coils to the power supply. The multimeter that set for the current is connected to the Helmholtz coils and the power
supply by the red cables. A red, a blue, and all yellow cables lead from the another power supply to the electeon gun. The multimeter that set
for the voltage is connected to the electron gun by red and blue cables.
