Toronto Male Arrested in Thunder Bay on Canada Wide Warrants

The Thunder Bay Police have arrested a Toronto area male wanted on a Canadian Wide Warrant
for multiple drug, firearm and aggravated assault of a police officer related charges in Toronto.

Officers located the male in a vehicle with two other males in a parking lot on the corner of
Arthur Street and Vickers Street just before 12:30 p.m. The Emergency Task Unit attempted to
arrest the male at this location. Two males fled the scene. A 39 year old Thunder Bay male was
taken into custody and has been charged with drug possession related charges.

Kibrom Kevin Tesfay, 25 years old from Toronto was located and arrested on the Canada Wide
Warrant in the area of Ridgeway and Vickers Street.

A K-9 unit with the Ministry of Natural Resources was requested to search the scene as it was
believed a firearm may have been dropped by one of the fleeing males. The search has been
concluded and a firearm was not located. The vehicle associated to these male in this incident
has been towed to the TBPS station.

This investigation is ongoing.
