Around mid 2013 they started producing a new Platform $150, based on the same hardware of $100 but with the Android Operating System. $100 This platform is based on WinCE 6.0, the main advantage of it is the lower boot time and a more user friendly interface. Some Themes and Tools for WinCE can be found on KoTiX's blog (http://kotixworld.blogspot.it/2013/12/s100-platform-skinpack-31 102013-its.html). Pere eae During end of 2013, the xda member stief (http://forum.xda-developers.com/member.php?u=506965) found the way to convert his $100 unit to Android 4.03 using an SD recovery tool. This tool consist of an SD card with a special bootloader "fused" in, Initially only linux could fuse the bootloader but, later on, the procedure was fine tuned and a new windows tool SD-Flasher was found and proved to work perfeclty on windows machines by KoTiX (http://forum.xda-developers.com/member.php?u=2734955), Here (http://kotixworld.blogspot it/2014/01/s100-to-s150-conversion-convert-wince.html) you can find a tutorial explaining the conversion from WinCE to Android and in this. (https://www dropbox.com/s/ner3 vioawoslmnx/SDBOOT_wince.zip) archive the instructions to reverse back to WinCE. NOTE: Android 2.34 cannot run on $100 devices because of a missing encription chip. $150 Just like the $100 these come in many different variants for different car models. One distingushing factor at first sight is a much different stock layout: bp:orum xce-developers.comiwikiWinca-Radrav_S100'S180 ane 92015 Winca-Roadhay $100'8180 - XDA-Developars Specs = Operating System: Android 2.3 for all models and 4.03 available just for a few models for now. = more to come, please add This unit appeared on the original OUKU thread in post #897 (http://forum.xda- developers.com/showthread.php?p=41854160#post4 1854160) and has [] forked to this thread] See the Winca-Roadnay $100/S150 wiki page for more specs, details and howtos Overview These units run on top of a Samsung S5PV210 (smdkv210) 1Ghz Cortex A8 Single Core processor and are discussed at length in this forum thread (http://forum.xda- developers.com/showthread php ?t-2503964), The first post on that thread, describes update procedures, natively supplied with Android 2.x and new procedures to upgrade to Android 4.0, Al these units, whether "pure android” or WinCE based ones, or even those with neither, are built with a couple of layers of hardware working together to allow integration of all components involved into a seemingly singular interface. Winca recommends, before proceeding with the update, to switch to Bluetooth mode, disconnect all the devices and than power off the unit; this is to put the MCU in a kind of idle\safe state. - If something goes wrong you can always try to reflash your unit using the SD recovery tool available for your operating system; even if you see a black or full white screen the update procedure can still be done, just insert the SD recovery in the gps slot, power on and wait about 20-30 minutes... after that remove the sd and reboot. ‘0 upgrade android 2.34 to 4.03 is the same procedure to convert wince to android, because the fused bootloader is the same (u-boot_udsd.bin (https://vww.dropbox.com/s/fxwpix9haphOxm0/u-boot_udsd.bin)) - To donwgrade android 4.03 to 2.3 you need a different bootloader (u-boot_sd.bin (https://www.dropbox.com/s/2espud1akgjqb3q/u-boot_sd.bin)) fused in the SD card. - To reflash S100 to WinCE or to convert an original android unit to WinCE, you have to use this SDBOOT_winee.zip (https://vww.dropbox.com/s/ncr3 vioawoslmnx/SDBOOT_wince.zip) archive and follow the included instructions. - Only 4.03 firmware can run $100, It is possible to flash android 2.34 on $100 units but it won't run because of bootloops. - $100 can not upgrade to Android 4.0, $100 units produced after Nov 2014 can not upgrade to Android 4.0 via old bootloader card. Rooting Original developers 34 firmware could be rooted using Framaroot (http://forum.xda- com/apps/framaroot/root-framaroot-one-click-apk-to-root-t2130276). Anew official android 4 firmware exists and has recently been released (https://www.dropbox.com/s/209xiofoilf9jnv/Official%204,03%20Aroma-Root_v1.1.rar) by forum user KoTiX2 with root built in, (Please update link on new releases or create a firmware section to list bp:orum xce-developers.comiwikiWinca-Radrav_S100'S180 ene 92015 Winca-Roadhay S100'8180 - XDA-Developars different versions.) User Customisation Custom Logos - create your logo in png format 800x480 - convert it to rle format using the tool provided by user Gassi: PNG Converter (https://www.dropbox.com/s/hygnquumgqyz2592/Covert%20PNG%20t0%20RLE rar) + create another png image for thumbnail preview with size 166x108 - name the rle and the thumb file with same name eg. mylogo.rle and mylogo.png - copy these 2 files using root explorer (EsFileExplorer option enabled) in the Bootlogo\Logo folder - go in settings->device->boot logo to apply your new logo. + if you use the KoTiX ROM you can add your logos to the ‘logo! folder so they will flashed within the rom files. Locales.xml - You can delete all those unwanted locales from here, leave only one or two, but ... wouldn't bother, as you can set your language from elsewhere! And more languages are cool! naviApps.conf - What GPS programs you have?! personize.prop - This is like build.prop Common problems bp:orum xce-developers.comiwikiWinca-Radrav_S100'S180 ane
