PRESENTATION LETTER

To Whom it may concern,

I am 22 years old, born and raised in a farm near Botucatu, So Paulo's


countryside. Since I was a child I had contact with farming activities and large
animals because my family work with agriculture and pig farming for many years.
When I completed 19 years old I was accept at UNESP, where I started cursing
Agronomy.
As mentioned before, my contact and experience with animal culture started
when I was a child, my parents always incentivated me to learn farming skills,
animal care and management, such skills that I could improve even more in
college.
My first professional hands-on experience was in 2014, on my 1 st year of
graduation, when I had the opportunity to become a trainee in a project at my
university that had as objective to teach agronomy students who intended to work
with pig farming basic skills such as food distribution, giving medications,
observing for signs of illness, check temperatures and environment condition, with
a total of 300hs os supervisioned work.
With more skills and experiences I was hired on my first job directly with pig
farming, at Granja So Roque, where I worked for 5 months assisting the
employees with performing artificial insemination, keeping records, coordinating
waste removal, observing animals and signs of illness as such as all the work I was
already performing on my previous experience.
After Granja So Roque I started working on Suinocultura Trussu, a company of
breeding pigs for selling, where I got face-to-face with ten times more
responsibilities than always. I worked in a team responsible for artificial
insemination, care of pregnant sows, facilities maintenance and assisting with the
birth of piglets.
When I first heard about this exchange program I was frightened because I never
left home, but analyzing more carefully I concluded that this programs is an
amazing opportunity of personal and profissional growth. I belive I have the
necessary skills to apply without fear and I am sure os all experiences I'll acquire,
not only related with work, but also personally, being in contact with a whole new
culture, different people and a lot of costumes. Thank you for your time and
