Alarm Strobe Light

The Alarm Strobe Light is supplied with the
following standard features:

C Adds visual warning to audible alarm

C Installs quickly
C Operates independently or with Alarm Horn
C Controlled light dispersion pattern for maximum
visibility
C Meets UL 1971 Standard for Signaling Devices
for the Hearing Impaired; NFPA 72, CH 6;
and ANSI 117.1-1992.

Description

The Chemetron Fire Systems Alarm Strobe light is ARCHITECT/ENGINEER SPECIFICATIONS

a three-dimensional visual signaling device that meets
UL 1971 requirements for Signaling Devices for the
Hearing Impaired. The light has a clear polycarbonate
lens that contains the xenon flashtube, with all solid
state circuitry enclosed in the strobe housing. The
strobe housing is labeled with vertical red lettering for
FIRE. The Chemetron Alarm Strobe light is a 24 VDC
model that is UL rated at 15 candela with a flash rate
of 1/3Hz.
It is designed to mount independently to a standard
4" electrical box; but can also mount to a standard 4"
single or double gang box. For audible/visual signal-
ing, the strobe light can be mounted to a Chemetron
alarm horn.
Alarm indicating appliances shall be strobe lights,
Chemetron Fire Systems stock number 70100308. The
strobe light shall comply with the UL 1971 Standard
for Signaling Devices for the Hearing Impaired and
have a light intensity output of 15 candela with a flash
rate of 20 flashes per minute. The strobe light shall use
a xenon flashtube with solid-state circuitry and shall
operate using 24 VDC filtered power. The strobe light
shall have red vertical lettering for FIRE.
