1) CONSTRUCTION OF SQUARE ROOT SPIRAL

AIM : To contruct a Square Root Spiral

MATERIALS REQUIRED :
1. Geometry Box
2. Colour Pencils

PRE-REQUISTE KNOWLEDGE :

Construction of 900 using a protractor

PROCEDURE :

(i) Draw a line segment OP1 of unit length in the journal.

(ii) Draw a line segment P1P2 perpendicular to OP1 of unit length.

(iii) Then draw a line segment P2P3 perpendicular to OP2.

(iii) Then draw a line segment P3P4 perpendicular to OP3

(v) Continuing in this manner , we can get the line segment Pn-1Pn by
drawing a line segment of unit length perpendicular to Pn-1.

(vi) In this manner points P2 , P3 , .Pn and join them to create a spiral
depicting 2, 3, 4, 5....

RESULT:

It is found that by drawing perpendiculars of unit length to a given

Unit length , a square root spiral can be formed.
