    Choice Text Challenge! people to act and causes them to follow
    others?

    Step One:
    **Select one of the texts that is both a good fit for
    you as a reader AND seems a bit interesting!

    Step Two:
    **Read! While you read, focus your annotations on The Will Come Soft
    All Summer in a Day,

    Lexile: 770L how the author establishes setting, develops Lexile: 910L
    characters, and creates a conflict. In addition, mark
    unfamiliar words and record questions you have.

    Step Three:
    **In your Thoughtful Log -> My Thinking, write about
    what motivates the characters in your story to act.
    Why do they make the choices they do? What
    evidence can you include to support your
    interpretation?

    Step Four:
    **Discuss! Come together with others whove read
