The meeting was called to order by President Doug Koopman

The Pledge and Prayer was led by Nate Gengenbach
Program: Jim Heyen Hastings Utilities Water Reclamation
Guests: Federico was present

Dr. Jerry Seiler won the split the pot. Congrats Jerry!

Question of the Day: Laura Schneider again won the contest as she knew that non-stick
PAM is a good resource to remove bugs from your car.

Announcements:
o Jeff Schneider notified the club that he has found the Rotary bag from when
he was president and will bring it to the next meeting.
o Doug Schwenka announced that he will be needing volunteers soon for
Purple Pinkys October 11th at Adams Central East and October 5th at
Juniata.
o Dale notified the club that we will be a 100% Paul Harris Award club and
would like to have a dinner to celebrate. Details to come later.

Program: Jim Heyen Hastings Utilities

Jim presented on the Water Reclamation facility located on the East Side of town. Jim
presented on the process of reclaiming the sewage water and how they dispose of their
dry waste. The plant was expanded in 2013 and treated 1.181 billion gallons of sewage
water in 2016.

Next meeting: Tuesday September 26th, 2017 @ 7:00 A.M.

Josh Johnson has the program. Jake Rundle will be presenting on the Library
renovations and expected completion.

Michael Krings will be in charge of the program Tuesday October, 10th.
