How do we count the cost of World War I?

Task One.

1. What were the total casualties for Britain?


The total of casualties for Britain was 3.1million.

2. What were the total casualties for Germany?


The total of casualties for Germany was 7.1million.

3. Which two countries had the most men killed?


Germany and Russia had the most men killed the amount of men killed in
these two countries was 1.7 million men.

4. How many countries, in total, lost men in WWI?


There were 15 different countries in total that lost men in WW1

5. Which country suffered most, in terms of casualties, during the


war?
Russia had the most casualties, 9.15million.

1. How many hits did you get?


I got 648 hits for the name Sam.

2. How did you feel when you were reading the information about the
people who died?
Sad because there are so many people who died and had to leave
behind their families and friends.

3. Pick one solider and look carefully at the information about him.
Make a note of who he left behind and any other interesting
information.

We count the cost of the Great War in people we have lost during the time
of war. It doesnt matter which country lost the most men because it is
terrible to lose so many young people in total, each individual death is
equally important, they are all just humans who have families maybe kids
and it is terrible to lose someone you love in such a battle.
