Construction Technology Layout Project

In teams of 5, lay out the attached project using the transit, diagonal method and the 3-4-5 method.

1) Lay out the project using the transit. All corners should be 90 degrees. Stakes will be used for each corner.

2) In the Southeast corner, layout the 3-4-5 method as described in class. Use string and mark the 3 mark and
the 4 mark. (4 points)

3) The garage will be layed out using string. The stakes will go past the 24 marks and the intersection of the
two string lines is where the excavation will be done (see layout video, This Old House). (4 points)

4) The diagonal of the house and lot needs to be calculated using the Construction Master Pro calculator.
