HOW PUTING BELIUNG HAPPENED

Puting Beliung is wind that spins at speeds more than 63 km/h moving linearly with maximum
5 minutes long events. Common people called Puting Beliung as Leysus, in sumatera called
Bahorok and there are still other designations. This wind type in USA is Tornado which has
a speeds up to 320 km/h and 500 m of diametres. Puting Beliung often occur in the day or
evening in the Pancaroba season. These winds can destroy whatever it strikes, because the
objects passed lifted and thrown.

The characteristics of the arrival of a Puting Beliung is in the daytime seen a white cloud
towered like cauliflower, then evolved into a dark cloud that accompanied by the blast of cold
air, and the wind start wagging the trees to the left and to the right, soon afterwards the wind
getting faster and followed by heavy rain and sometimes accompanied by hailstorm. Seen in
dark cloud Puting Beliung shaped like a cone down to the ground (earth).

The occurrence of a Puting Beliung, usually occurs in the pancaroba season. In the daytime
air temperature was hot, stuffy and dark clouds gather, due to solar radiation during the day,
growing cloud vertically, then in the cloud upheaval air currents up and down with speeds high
enough. Air currents down with a high speed blow to the Earth's surface suddenly and
randomly.
