SYMPTOMS

When attempting to change the set up of Spot Rate for Currency, moving the
currency from unauthorized column to authorized column the following error occurs.

ERROR

FRM-40602: Cannot insert into or update data in a view.

STEPS
-----------------------
The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:
1. (N)Currency Details window.

2. Click the '>' or ' to move the currency and the error occurs.

CAUSE

The view's insert/update/delete is no in dba/user/all_updateable_columns. This is explained in << Bug 18281

SOLUTION

To implement the solution, please execute the following steps in a Test instance first:
1. Download and review the readme for patch 18732457: 1OFF:18281762:R12.2 IN ORACLE TREASURY CURRENCY
AUTHORIZATION FAILED WITH FRM-40602 ERROR.
2. Apply patch 18732457:R12.XTR.C.
3. Confirm the file version to be:
XTRSEFXP.fmb to 120.11.12020000.2
You can use the following command to find out the version:
strings -a $XTR_TOP/forms/US/XTRSEFXP.fmx|grep '$Header
4. If the issue is resolved, please migrate the solution as appropriate to other environments.
