1.What do you think is important in Jazz Education?

I think impov class is the most important thing in jazz education. This is basically the
Theory, Philosophy, lessons, and every other class combined into one. I love the idea of
this class because it really takes everything and puts it together.

2. What do you think should and shouldnt be taught?

I think theory and ear training are really important to lay a good foundation. Im not a
huge fan of guitar players having to learn the piano.

3. What are the qualities of an effective teacher?

Some qualities that I would think would create an effective teacher would be somebody
that can adapt and recognize multiple learning styles. Also, the ability to be strict but
likeable and interesting at the same time.
