Material: Mahogany

15 mm thick, 50 cm long, 30 cm wide

1. Cut the board symmetrically into half.

2. Decrease the thickness to 5 mm each piece with a planer.

3. Flatten and level one side of the board with a sanding block to make a reference side on
each board.

4. Sand and flatten the sides which are then glued together on each board so that there is no
gap between the boards.
5. Put some glue and clamp them together.

6. Open the clamps and then decrease the thickness to 4 mm with a planer. The previous
reference side on each board is not level anymore once theyre glued together. So, flatten
and level one side of the board with a sanding block to make a new reference side.

7. Draw the pattern with the template on the reference side.

8. Cut the board with a scroll saw. Leave some space between the line and the edge of the
board about 1 cm.

9. Sand the other side of the board to decrease the thickness to 2.5 or 3 mm. Dont sand the
reference side.
