Attaching braces on the back

1. Draw an axis on the back board, and then draw a short line with a corner ruler to make the
braces cross the axis horizontally.

2. Draw an axis on each brace. Put the A brace on the widest upper bout and the C brace on
the widest lower bout. Put the B brace on waist bout between A and C, the distance
from C to B is usually 15.5 cm.
3. Glue the braces to the back board and press them with sticks.

This is how the base molding looks like. The inner side of the molding is thinner than the outer side
to make the board convex.
4. Sculpt 3 cm from the tip of each brace with a chisel.
