story came from a small country led by a wise king named Hammurabi. This small country is an
isolated country where most of its resident work as gold and limestone miners. The people who
live in this small country live peacefully and help each other. But, this country is an isolated
country from the other countries. This is because the location of the country surrounded by

The residents expressed concern to the king, the citizens asked that this country be built a road so
that if the dry season they can take water easily. But the request was in vain, not because the king
refused to grant it but because the king confused about how to build a road to the geographic
condition of this country

One day, a woman asked her husband for permission to get water. Later, her husband allowed her
and rushed the woman to leave for the water. Before leaving to take the water the husband
reminded his wife to be careful when taking water, especially when passing through the rock hill.

After work from the gold mine, the man named Dashrat rushed home to meet his beloved wife.
However, when at home he just saw the empty house. He was so anxious and worried to find his
wife who has not gone home. Then he heard someone call his name several times from the outside.
After he came out he saw his neighbor hurrying toward him. "Dashrat .... Dashrat ... just go to the
rock hill. Your wife fell from the hill and badly wounded "hearing that Dashrat ran to meet his
wife. And sure, when he got there he saw his wife lying weak. Without thinking, Dashrat directly
carry his wife to take her to the hospital in the country across. Dashrat must fight once again by
passing rock hill as far as 55 kilometers. However, fate says another, she died on the way because
the distance is too far.

decided to meet the king of Hammurabi to ask for something.

"What do you want dashrat so that you so want to see me?" Asked the king Hammurabi
"I want to hold responsible for the death of my wife" answered Dashrat clear

"What kind of responsibility?" The king asked again

"Let me build a road. In order for the incident that happened to my wife does not happen again "
He replied firmly

"In what way did you build that road?" Asked the king of Hammurabi once more
"By cleaving the glorious rock hill" Dashrat answer makes King Hammurabi glued
"Do not you think that could endanger you and my people? Do you still not remember one of the
laws of this country if there is someone who builds something and then the building endangers
others then the builder will be punished by death " Replied the king of Hammurabi who still did
not believe in the Dashrat's request
"I still remember clearly what the Code of Hammurabi is in this Country"
"Then I allow you to build that road " King Hammurabi answers make Dashrat breathe freely
After meeting the king of Hammurabi the next day Dashrat began to build the road with capitalize
hammer and chisel. He started working day and night to carve a rock hill located in the western
part of the country to serve as a shortcut. Dashrat carve a road along 110 m, depth 7.6 m and 9.1
m width by cutting to make his way through the rock hills. By the time he carved a lot of people
who say it is crazy. But his love for his wife was the initial spark that had ignited the fire of his
desire to split this hill. Besides the desire to see thousands of people pass through the hills
whenever make it able to work for many years. Dashrat finish carved for 22 years, and the results
this way reduce the distance between the two countries from 55 km to 15 km.
A few months after completing the construction of the road Dashrat died due to illness. All
residents in this country is so sad to see how selfless struggle Dashrat. Finally, to commemorate
his services, Dashrat buried with state honor by the king Hammurabi.
From this story we can learn one thing that "Love can indeed split the hill. Love also can make the
Earth a better place for all human beings. Because pure love, all the work is unlikely to be a real
resolved, this is one proof that the power of love is a REAL "
