Once there were brothers named Hoderi, a hunter, and Hikohodemi, a fisherman. They decided to trade jobs
for a day, so Hoderi borrowed his brother’s fishing hook. Sadly, the first fish that Hoderi caught swam away with
the fishing hook, so Hikohodemi was so upset. Hoderi then set off to find it in the entire sea. While on his search,
he met Katsumi, the sea princess. She knew how to find the lost hook through the help of her father, the Sea
King. Soon, Hoderi and Katsumi fell in love with each other. Also, the sea creatures found the fishing hook.
Hoderi decided to go home, but Katsumi wanted to go with him. The Sea King warned her not to go with Hoderi
or she would turn to a sea dragon and an outcast. Katsumi didn’t listen to her father and traveled back to Hoderi’s
village. One day, without warning, the sea princess turned to a sea dragon and disappeared into the foaming sea.
