Student Creativity Project
Student Creativity Project
Overview of assignment:
Students will work together in groups to create a digital multimedia presentation about the
history of Chicago using the online program buncee.
Technology Assessment:
Buncee is an online program that allows students to create virtual posters and presentations using
different images, videos, links, urls, animations, etc. The website is easy to navigate and allows
the students to be creative with different backgrounds and text features.
Technology Rationale:
By having the students create their own multimedia digital presentation about Chicago they are
able to show off their creativity and use different media options. The students will use images
and videos to add links to different websites to provide more information about Chicago.
Students can use different fonts, texts, colors, images, ways to display text, etc to complete their
project. The project uses the best practice providing stimulating materials, experiences, optimally
challenging tasks as well as encouraging flexible thinking )White-McNulty,n.d). Students need
to be able to use different media resources, and credible websites to complete their project. Also,
students are used to completing projects using posters, and different writing tools, but by using
different media options they need to be flexible with their thinking and be open to using
technology to complete the assignment.
Outcomes:
1. Students will be able to create a digital multimedia presentation and show through their
presentation they understand the elements of the history of Chicago.
Technology Outcomes:
6a - Students choose the appropriate platforms and tools for meeting the desired objectives of
