StoryCorp Interview Reflection - Senior Capstone Project

Explain who you interviewed and why you chose to interview that person.

I interviewed my mother and I chose to interview her because I wanted to get to know my
mother a lot further. I wanted to know more about her from a personal standpoint rather than
was is shown from being a mother.

Why did you choose the questions that you did? What was your thought process when picking
questions?

I chose these questions because I believe that they would lead to to get to know her a lot
better.

What is the most important thing you learned during the interview?

The most important thing that I learned during the interview was that she, as a child, was very
similar to what I was as a child.

What do you wish you had spent more time on or done dierently?

I wish I had spent more time on getting to know what growing up was like for her.

What did you find most challenging during this task?

The most difficult thing during this task was trying to ask the right questions that would lead to
her giving more detail to whatever she was explaining.

How did the person you interviewed respond to being interviewed?


She responded well to being interviewed.
