I Wonder If We'll Get Along

The world is a big place yet we manage to stay connected from every corner of it. We are

connected yet disconnected from the fact that we are all the same with our own unique traits. I

wonder if at any point in time we will all get along with each other.

To begin with, the United States has been at war for two hundred and twenty four years

out of two hundred and forty one years since its birth. The United States has only been in peace

for a mere seventeen years since its creation. This is not to count all of the segregation and

oppression the United States has had experienced within itself. Another example of connection

prevention would be the Islamic countries in the Middle East. Over in the Middle East the

punishment for being gay is death. Women themselves have acid thrown in their faces and have

forced marriages. Everywhere in the world there will be a form of oppression that is small or big.

All the events that insinuated hatred towards one another put me to question if that at any point

in time we will come together as one and get along with one another. Events such Americans

standing up for their own beliefs and having other Americans trash and begin to violently oppose

them yet only to complain when the same is done to them. Event such as those where injustices

are served to innocent young people ruining their lives and criminals are given a light sentence or

no sentence but rather given a little slap on the wrist and are left with only the hope that they

dont do the same again. Events such as those where the complexion of one's own skin

determines them worthy of being placed under a stereotype. It is such events like these that place

the question of when will we get along with each other. With the advancement of each one of

these events it rolls the dice for each and every upcoming life being introduced into the real

world. The lives of these are almost put in a frame and solidified, leaving them with only the

opinions of their parents and leaving them empty of their own beliefs. Also having them to pick

up what was left by the previous generation and use what they have to make the future of their

kids just a bit better.

Time will continue as it always has but will we ever come to the conclusion that without

each other we are simply empty and alone. I wonder that if at any time we will come together

and we will understand, or if we will we continue to have our future determined by those with

evil intentions.
