Title of Your Report

Squillaci, Laurie. “10 Ways of Showing Compassion.” California College San Diego.

Web. 10 October 2012.<https://www.cc-sd.edu/blog/10-ways-of-showing-

compassion>

In this article, Squillaci explains the ideas of how compassion can be shown not in just a few but

in many ways. After reviewing many people, she examines how widely spread the use of

compassion can be shown. She exposes many ways to show compassion with other people whom

are not aware of how to show their compassion or empathy. Ultimately, she explains the details

of how compassion can be shown to not only improve the lives of others but to also improve the

life of the one giving the compassion. This article provides an excellent overview of the primary

source associated with the use of compassion; it will help to further support my background

research on how one can demonstrate compassion to one another, to reduce the stress that one

will endure, and to lessen the anxiety that one might obtain due to the lack of mindfulness from

other.

Davis, Daphne. “What are the benefits of mindfulness.” American Psychology

Association. Web. July/August 2012.<http://www.apa.org/monitor/2012/07-

In this article, Davis explains how the benefits to mindfulness are upwardly fantastic and have

many good contributions to health. After reviewing many sources, she examines how widespread

the benefits to being mindful of others are in their own accounts. Davis exposes the truth within a

little known topic to examine how really beneficial mindfulness really is when shown to another

person or being the one on the receiving end. This article provides and exceptional overview of

the sources associated with the question of what benefits derive from being mindful towards

other people; it will support my background research very much over the debate of whether or

not being mindful is actually not only beneficial for the recipient but also for the giver as today

in this generation there seems to be a lack of compassion and mindfulness shown by teenagers in

school with it being a potential cause of anxiety and depression.

In this article, Uche explains the question of whether or not teenagers lack compassion

and empathy for others. After reviewing many views from personal clients and

credible sources, he examines the widely different reasons why it seems that

teenagers lack compassion for one another and also lack empathy for one another.

Uche exposes the myth of how teenagers lack compassion and empathy due to

their laziness and lack of understanding of the way others feels and takes this to

account to show the true meaning of what they seem to be lacking. Ultimately, he

argues that teenagers don’t actually have a lack of empathy for one another and a

lack of compassion for one another but rather they seem to have a lack of maturity

in their frontal cortex. This article provides an excellent overview of how

teenagers are actually not lacking compassion nd empathy but rather just haven’t

matured fully; it will help me on my background research on the fact that the lack

of compassion and empathy causes anxiety and depression for them as a whole.
