I am interested in applying for your Spanish high school-level teaching position in your school district. I
am a 2017 graduate of Arizona State University. I have a BA degree is in Spanish and am a fluent Spanish
speaker. I believe my teaching experience, education in Spanish, and passion for the language will make
me an ideal candidate for a Spanish teaching position at your school.
I have experience teaching elementary all the way to high school level students in a Montessori setting. I
am currently a teachers assistant at a small Montessori bilingual academy working with children
between the ages 5 to 14. At the school we teach all subjects in English and Spanish. Your school
description emphasizes the need for character growth in students. I believe my experience in mentoring
students of different ages has given me the ability to help students grow and learn.
I was particularly interested in the fact that your school is dedicated to preparing students for higher
education. In my teaching experience I have always strived to prepare students for the next stage in
their education. I believe strongly in the Montessori philosophy, that every child learns self-discipline
and personal responsibility. I would love to apply what I have learned about Montessori to a high school
Spanish class. I have no doubt my familiarity with Montessori methods would make me valuable to your
program.
It is my goal to combine what I know about Montessori with my ability to be a compassionate, fun,
intelligent teacher who will make a positive contribution to your school district. Thank you for your time
