artist information, homework, and exciting ongoing exhibitions.

image of their artwork progress every 7 weeks. (They may upload digital files for the
classes using computers) For the art history classes, students should complete a short
quiz or a short essay.

RECOMMENDATIONS:
Recommendation letters are written for students whom the teacher feels have produced high
quality work, and who have developed their skill and potential (the teacher decides which
students are deserving of a recommendation letter). It is suggested that all recommendation
letters be e-mailed to the Art Education Department faculty; letters will be printed and signed
before or after the class, and will be mailed by P.I. to the specific institutions or persons.

CLASSROOM DAMAGES:
● Accidental Damages:
It is the responsibility of all students to protect their projects from accidental damage caused
while in classrooms. P.I. takes no responsibility for accidental damages of projects. Accidental
damage includes any defect from class participation, moving projects, relocating projects, and
storing projects within the classroom spaces.
● Long Term Installations:
Students are not allowed to leave projects remaining in classroom spaces used by other classes
unless given permission by all Teachers using the space in agreement with Academic Office.
● Project Value:
The value of projects at P.I. are defined as educational value. Commissioned work will not be
accepted as credit for class projects. P.I. Art Center accepts no responsibility for loss of
commission and projected value of commissioned works of art.
● Facility Damage:
Students are not allowed to damage facilities under any circumstances beyond normal
wear and tear. No projects are allowed to permanently alter the facility. No materials can be
disposed of in ways that damage our sinks or plumbing.
● Facility Damage Fee:
In the event of classroom damages we will use CCTV to identify the students and classes
that caused damages. We will require repair costs to be covered by the student.

PLAGIARISM:
Projects that are directly appropriated without a transformation of content will not be acceptable
for class credit. Students using someone else’s project as their own will be considered
academically dishonest resulting in a failing grade. We encourage teachers to engage in a
dialogue about the history of appropriation and how ideas evolve within the arts. Students who
cheat may risk INC.
