Experiment Procedures:
1. Using the beaker, measure 50 mL of sand and place in a pile near the upper
corner of the water table. See picture below.
2. Using the beaker, measure 50 mL of small pebbles and place in a pile next to the
sand pile. See picture below.
3. Using the beaker, measure 50 mL of large pebbles and place in a pile next to the
small pebble pile. See picture below.
4. Measure 50 mL of water in the beaker.
5. Hold the Low Flow Cup over the sand pile and pour the 50 mL of water into the
cup. RECORD OBSERVATIONS IN DATA TABLE.
6. Measure 50 mL of water in the beaker.
7. Hold the Low Flow Cup over the small pebble pile and pour the 50 mL of water
into the cup. RECORD OBSERVATIONS IN DATA TABLE.
8. Measure 50 mL of water in the beaker.
9. Hold the Low Flow Cup over the large pebble pile and pour the 50 mL of water
into the cup. RECORD OBSERVATIONS IN DATA TABLE.
10. Repeat steps 4-9 using the Medium Flow Cup.
11. Repeat steps 4-9 using the Large Flow Funnel.
