Animals Should Have The Right To Be Treated Well

A dog is the only thing on earth that loves you more than he loves
himself. Josh Billings. Animals are the best companions of human since they
accompany and follow its owner no matter where the owner goes. Although animals love
humans and treat humans nicely, but some people treat animals poorly instead of return
the respect and kindness shown by those animals. Nowadays, there are many problems
about animals abuse has arises and some imperative actions must be taken to solve this
issue.

All animals should be treated with the same respect as humans but still there is a
number of people keep abusing them. The ultimate problem in the animal abuse case is
part of people does not have the sense that animals should be treated with care and they
ignore their responsibilities on animals. These people consider animal as a tool to vent
their anger, stress and frustration. Some of them even exploit animal just for satisfying
themselves. For example, at Petaling Jaya, a man was recorded slapping, punching and
smacking a dog using a helmet with no real reason (Man's vicious attack on dog raises
animal lovers' hackles, 2017). Another example is animals are trained harshly and with
less caring so that they can perform tricks and follow the order to entertain audiences
(Animal cruelty has to stop now, 2017). Everyone is responsible to protect animal right
because humans and animals are dependent on each other.

One of the solution of this issue is government must enforce the law. Animal Welfare Act
has set a fine between RM20,000 to RM100,000 and a maximum three years in jail, or
both if people get caught abusing animals (Change only happens with hard work , 2017).
Another law that is set to protect animals is Taiwan has restricts eating dogs and cats
meat (Taiwan bans eating dogs and cats, 2017). With all these law enforced, we can make
a report if we see animal abusing actions. Peoples will also think it twice before they
abuse animal because they scare of the fine and the consequences that will fall on them.
This will significantly decrease the cases of animal cruelty.

Finally, children should be educated the sense of take care animals and treat animals
kindly since they are young. For instance, campaign and talk can be held at primary
school to give more knowledge about how to take care pets to the students (Caring for all
creatures great and small, 2017). Children can learn the diet of pets, health check and the
pets body language from the event. Parents also need to teach their children to love
animals and not bullying them. When these children grow up they would have the sense
to treat animals nicely.
In our life the animal that most close to us is our pets such as cats, dogs, hamsters,
rabbits and birds. In case that people stop and think before acquiring pets, there would be
fewer problem related to animal abuse. Many times, there are the people that adopt pets
without considering the responsibility and finally make the consequence worse. These
pets often treated badly and get ignore by their owner as time passes. Animals are the
masterpiece of god creation just like humans. They do not deserve to be treated cruelly
and we should take full responsibility on them by taking care of them.
