Educational Plan And Technological Policies

The theater is a place driven by emerging technology. Many of

the skills learn ed through theater tech can be carried over to
many other professions as you learn engineering, light rigging,
master carpentry, electrical engineering, projection mapping,
management, producing, sound design and creation and sewing
and clothing creation.

Students are expected to participate in learning and applying

new technology in the classroom and in their theater
assignments. Collaboration is essential.

Students are only allowed to use programs and tools for

classroom work and assignments. All class tools are locked to
only administer programs needed for class.

There is a focus on equity and accessibility to ensure each

student is able to engage with the technology and programming
in a eective and poignant manner. Technology should be used
as tool to strengthen the advancements we can make in student/
teacher communication and allow students new ways to engage
with their peers.

In the national push for STEM integration, we cannot allow the

arts to fall behind. I advocate for STEAM: Science, Technology,
Engineering, ART and Math.
