Who are the primary and secondary audiences?

This billboard represents the primary audience of males/females (predominantly for this
billboard/brand) aged between 20-50+ years old. As you can see on the billboard, there are
three females dominating the billboard whilst there is only one male in the background. This
shows us that Gucci is a prevalent branded for women. This brand would appeal to a higher
class target audience as the clothing range starts at a high price generally. The secondary
audience would be low class/middle class working people who may not be able to afford
this product but are still interested in this in to some extent meaning they would have to
save extensionally to have enough money a to purchase a product from this company
(Gucci).

Who/what is being represented and how are they being represented?

As you can see from this billboard and my previous response above, can represent Gucci as
a high class clothing/accessories brand and can be seen from the standard of clothing being
high quality and unique from other clothing brands. 3 females and 1 male could suggest to
us that more females wear this brand (Gucci). Theyre being represented as high class
figures as the background suggests theyre in a rich area.

Richard Dyer suggests that stereotypes are always about power those with power
stereotype with less power.
