Instruction:

1- Form a group of 4-6 members.

2- Choose a current audit issue

(example: Key Audit Matters (KAM)/ shariah audit/ changes in Code of Corporate
Governance 2017 impact on audit/ changes of Companies Act 2016 impact on audit/ SME
audit/ Integrated Reporting and impact on audit/ Social audit/ environmental audit/ impact
of IT and Artificial Intelligence on audit and audit profession/ New International Ethics
Standard impact on audit/ challenges on Audit Oversight Board to develop future auditor &
accountants/ challenges of Internal Audit functions or roles etc).

3- Prepare a report relating to the issue.

4- Format of the report:

a- Introduction
Explain audit industry in Malaysia
Explain audit profession in Malaysia

b- Contents
Describe what is the issue
Identify and analyse the causes/reasons of the issue
Discuss on the implementation process of the issue
Evaluate the implications of the issue to the auditing and accounting industry, as
well as to the business and other stakeholders (good or bad/ pros and cons)

c- Conclusion

d- Reference (list all references used including website/newspaper/books etc)
